The Founder · Boss Kaee

Built by a builder, not a banker.

Award-winning Master Loctician. Celebrity stylist. Educator. Serial entrepreneur. The founder behind OPELOC'D and The Wealth Effect.

Boss Kaee knows the builder's side: the late nights, the pivots, the work no one sees, and the ability to see what something can become long before anyone else does.

St. Louis raised. Deep Jamaican roots. Born on Juneteenth. Her journey runs from early product, culinary, and wholesale hustles to luxury loc artistry, mentorship, and now venture development.

After building OPELOC'D, threats and assaults made leaving the hair industry a decision about her life and safety. She retired from the industry completely and chose to bet on herself again — this time by dedicating her life to helping other entrepreneurs build, protect, and scale their businesses. Survival became conviction. The Wealth Effect is that next chapter — real operating experience put to work for other builders.

01 / The roots

Freedom. Resilience. Legacy.

Raised in St. Louis, Missouri — HuSTLe City — with deep Jamaican roots and a Juneteenth birthday, Kaee's story is grounded in independence. Freedom was never just a word. It became a reason to build something of her own, and something that could outlast her.

02 / The philosophy

O.P.E. — All Can Be.

In eleventh grade, her junior-year Latin teacher, Ms. Rittenbaum, introduced her to Omnis Potest Esse: All Can Be. A classroom lesson became a lifetime operating philosophy. Where others saw adversity or set low expectations, Kaee learned to see potential. Belief opens the door; structure and execution turn that potential into something real.

03 / The early hustle

Every job became an education.

She graduated early and worked more than 20 jobs across industries, learning people, service, sales, and what it takes to keep an operation moving. Hair care products, wholesale lashes, and private-chef work were not disconnected detours. They were firsthand lessons in creating an offer, serving customers, and making a business work.

04 / The resilience

All I had was my hands and my mindset.

School did not bend to her. Kaee was expelled and dropped out, and those years were spent struggling to find herself, let alone her niche. No roadmap, no safety net, no obvious lane. All she had was her hands and her mindset to win — so she worked. Every job became another rep: prove it, learn it, start again.

An assault during an early travel appointment left Kaee with a concussion. She refused to let it end her journey. In her own words, she came back 20x stronger — grittier, more self-reliant, and more determined to build on her own terms. Her resilience is lived experience, not a slogan.

05 / The leap · 2021

Risk = Reward.

In 2021, she quit her job to bet on herself. No certain outcome. Just conviction, responsibility, and the willingness to do the work. That leap became the foundation of the thriving empire she built through OPELOC'D. Risk = Reward became a lived mindset: believe in the vision, commit to the work, and build beyond what feels familiar. It was never a promise that every risk pays off. It was a refusal to let fear make every decision.

06 / The mastery · 2022 onward

Build the craft. Then build the operators.

Through OPELOC'D, Kaee grew grassroots hustle into an elite, nationally recognized loc-artistry brand. An award-winning Master Loctician and celebrity stylist, she earned St. Louis Named Best Loctician in 2022 and served high-profile clientele. She then turned mastery into mentorship through her Becoming The Boss MasterClass curriculum and three-month apprenticeship program, helping stylists and business owners become self-sufficient entrepreneurs.

07 / The turning point

She didn't walk away. She ran toward her life.

Behind the success was a reality that rarely makes the highlight reel: constant threats and assaults, close calls, and surviving a traumatic assault behind the chair. For Kaee, the danger of working alone behind closed doors was not abstract. A thriving business did not erase what it cost to keep showing up in an environment where her safety was at risk. The breaking point was not simply burnout. It was her life, her safety, and her destiny. She did not walk from the hair industry. She ran — not because she lacked the skill or the success, but because neither was worth sacrificing her life. Leaving was not defeat. It was survival becoming conviction.

08 / The next chapter

From transforming crowns to economic futures.

Years behind the chair also brought conversations with entrepreneurs and creatives whose brilliant ideas needed infrastructure and capital. Survival gave that bigger purpose urgency. After building a thriving business, Kaee retired from the hair industry completely. Not a pause. Not a step back from ambition. The ultimate risk again: betting on a bigger purpose and dedicating her life to helping other entrepreneurs build, protect, and scale their businesses through The Wealth Effect. Risk = Reward had come full circle. Now, her operating experience serves visionaries, underdogs, and business owners through strategy, platforms, and infrastructure designed to support stronger boundaries, greater autonomy, and sustainable growth. Her conviction is to help builders create enterprise wealth without feeling trapped in vulnerable working situations. The same discipline, creativity, and operational grit remain. The purpose is bigger: ownership, options, and a future built on their own terms.

“How long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?”

In Her Own Words · The Big 3

“When family didn't believe I STRIVED, when friends didn't believe I THRIVED, and when, in the rare coincidence of me shortly not believing in myself? With prayer, I SURVIVED!!”
— Boss Kaee

“Everybody want to know what I’d do if I didn’t win… I guess we’ll never know.”

Why The Wealth Effect

The trenches became the foundation.

Potential is everywhere. True business development and resource alignment are rare. Kaee built The Wealth Effect to close that gap — connecting raw ideas with strategic discipline, infrastructure, and capital.

She sees potential where others see only risk because she has lived the work of turning an idea into an operating business. Now that experience helps founders clarify their model, build the structure, and develop opportunities that can scale and be positioned for investment.

Not theory from the sidelines. A builder helping builders create what's next.
